If this is a software issue, I should be able to trigger it via remote-controlling your machine that way.Cmd-H to hide it again and it will NOT hide it, but you have to hit Cmd-H twice to hide it.Youll see the View menu light up when you hit it the first time (as though its turning the Extras on and then you have to hit Cmd-H again for it to actually work.Problems Updated 5 years ago 0 7 4 8 Like Comment Follow Responses Official Solution JeffreyTranberry Adobe Administrator 15.3K Messages 289.5K Points 5 years ago This should be fixed in the Photoshop CC (2015) update.

Sr. Product Manager, Adobe Digital Imaging Like Reply 0 0 carlosoliveras 161 Messages 3.9K Points 6 years ago Same here, still, its not a new problem for me. For some reason, the CtrlH shortcut (Im using Windows) sometimes works as it should (you press it, and it works), but most of the times I have to hit it twice. Ive been experiencing this issue for so long that Ive almost grown used to it, but tonight its annoying me so much that I googled for it and I ended up here. And Carlos is saying hes Windows and its happening to him, as well. Like 6 years ago 0 chriscox2148894 15.1K Messages 195.8K Points Um, no, it doesnt happen on most systems. And since sometimes Adobe staff merge topics dealing with the same issue in different threads, I thought it was the right thing to do to post here. I would open a separate thread for the same issue under Windows, but since you say youre unable to reproduce the issue, I dont know it its worth it, so I guess I wont for now. Like 6 years ago 0 dmohr Adobe Administrator 3.5K Messages 53K Points 6 years ago Hiya Sarah, I know Im chiming in late to this conversation, but Ive been on vacation. Im doing the following steps: 1) launch PS (latest version) 2) click File New and choose US Paper Size Ok 3) activate the Lasso tool (L) and make some selection 4) press CMD (Mac) CNTRL (Win) H On Windows, I see ABSOLUTELY no problem. Only press makes the selection disappear and another press brings it back. On Mac, the first time I get this dialog, and if I choose Hide Extras, then Mac behaves exactly like Windows. If youve already dismissed this dialog, you can again gain access to it by trashing your preferences file (hold down CMDSHIFTOPT while launching PS) and the next time you try CMDH, youll be presented with the dialog again. Thanks, David Like Reply 0 0 brandonchandler 1 Message 60 Points 6 years ago Hi David. As far as Im aware, I have no other apps installed that affect keyboard input. Running a clean install of the latest version of Photoshop on Mac 10.10.2 I cannot reproduce the problem at all. Ive tried having multiple docs open, different kinds, different kinds of extras. Do you have a tablet connected What kind of keyboard are you running.
